Online 1:1 Yoga Therapy for Children and Adolescents

I offer online 1:1 yoga therapy sessions for children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, trauma, and/or neurodivergence.

Sessions are breath-led, creative and offer space for young people to be seen and heard. I blend playful movement, body awareness, and mindfulness to support regulation, resilience, and emotional safety. Sessions focus on co-regulation and collaboration — creating a calm, connected space where movement, breath, and rest are explored together at the client’s pace.

My work is grounded in specialist training with The Minded Institute (Yoga Therapy for Child and Adolescent Mental Health) and Yoga on the Lane (Proper Yoga for Kids). Drawing on both therapeutic yoga and my background in education, I adapt each session to the individual needs, capacities, and lived experience of each person.

No prior experience of yoga is needed: we go at the young person’s pace, and practices suggested are tailored to them, blending what we know from neuroscientific and medical research as well as yoga philosophy.

About

I began my yoga teacher training in 2019 while working as a secondary school teacher. I fell in love with moving at a slower, gentler pace. Teaching yoga to staff and students became a much-needed contrast to the demands of teaching an exam syllabus. I could carve out space for safe, playful exploration and give permission for dysregulated, overwhelmed bodies to rest.

Yoga offers us a philosophy and practical tools to notice our patterns and become more attuned to sensation - the tightness of dread in our abdomen, the stiffness in our shoulders, or tension held in our hips. Over time, we learn to breathe and move in ways that soften our belly, fill the lower lungs, and expand the space between the collarbones, helping us stand taller from strong foundations. So many offerings to support us in all moments of our day.

The yoga I teach and practise is always trauma-informed and grounded in ahimsa - kindness toward every part of ourselves, so we can extend outwards to those we care for, work with, and live beside.

The Minded Yoga Therapy training has filled me with an even deeper awe at the magic of yoga and the many ways it supports our bodies and minds.

I am a Supervisor for The Minded Institute Yoga Therapy course.
